Hello there! Welcome to Rooted Craniosacral Therapy. I am Sarah Forde, mother of three children, wife, friend, and child of God. I am a Registered Nurse with my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and minor in nutrition. My nursing background is primarily pediatric and mother/baby in nature. I have worked in the pediatric home care, pediatric cardiovascular intensive care unit, labor and delivery, postpartum, and birth center settings. I have completed the 100 hour Dynamic Body Balancing course with Dr. Carol Phillips, which is a blend of craniosacral therapy and myofascial unwinding, and am now a Dynamic Body Balancing Facilitator. I have also taken additional education in bodywork for oral restrictions and am a Certified Lactation Educator.
I started Rooted Craniosacral Therapy because I have a deep rooted passion for caring and nurturing the mother-baby dyad, empowering them on their personal journey of healing. This transition from nursing to craniosacral therapy has come from a desire to focus on wellness measures for healing our bodies and addressing the emotional, physical, and spiritual reasons for why we are experiencing what we are experiencing in our physical bodies, versus symptom based care that western medicine provides.
I chose the name Rooted, because first and foremost, in everything that I do, I want to be rooted and grounded in Christ. Our family has seen immense healing with the use of CST, and I see God’s mighty hand over all of it as He shows us His gentle love and care for us as a family in healing from a dysregulated nervous system, oral restrictions, TMJ dysfunction, and the emotional and spiritual trauma that comes with all of the above. I want to be able to share the wisdom of this healing with those around me, as well as the love of Christ.
Ephesians 3:17-19
“So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”
